Descripción
Sumario:In previous works, many characteristics of the Orkut web site of virtual relationship (http://www.orkut.com) has been analyzed by the means of pre-defined categories of the postmodernity like, as an example, the glamorization of transgression. This article specifically deals with the tribalism category and its inherent characteristics of fragmentation, ephemerality, and hedonism, as Maffesoli (2001) defines it. Being Orkut a computational tool for communication and interpersonal interaction, fruit of this time, this analysis seems to be relevant to clarify aspects currently observed in the social and cultural relations, especially in Brazil.
