Descripción
Sumario:This study aims to understand the current landscape of national literature on quality of life (QOL) of elderly undergoing hemodialysis and the possible effects of treatment, through a systematic review of studies conducted in the last decade. A search was made in the indexing databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL) in the period 2003-2013. It was concluded that there are numerous factors that cause low QOL for the elderly undergoing HD, including physical, psychological and sociocultural, with variations according to the analyzed field.
