Descripción
Sumario:The article seeks, based on a reading, supported by decolonial theories, to interpret the episode of Ilha dos Amores, in the Camonian epic of Os Lusíadas, as an erotica of colonialism. It is about thinking about how literature, as a producer of knowledge about people, constructed the image of colonization based on sexual and, therefore, erotic metaphors, which dialogue with the patriarchal vision surrounding the female body. Thus, the Ilha dos Amores episode is an example of colonial erotica in Portuguese Literature.
