Sumario:The aim of this study was to evaluate the recent dynamics of territory use in the state of Rondônia, Brazil (in the Amazon region), from the transformations that the livestock activity know, especially in this first decade of this century. Are discussed the most significant elements for advancement and modernization of livestock in the area - the modernization of territorial equipment and the new territorial norms that enables the viable the process of industrialization of production and a new spatial productivity for this activity.
