| Sumario: | The integral education, with the extended time of seven daily hours and a multidimensional approach of the human being, puts itself as a conception defended by Brazilian Legislation and contemporary thinkers of the education process. The student is here perceived as a complex being, formed by physical, emotional, mental, social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions, requiring from education to emphasize on his integral development. In today’s materialistic society, the spiritual dimension has been excluded from the school’s environment, or at best set aside; the article Aims at demonstrating the benefits and possibilities of returning it back to formal education, teking into consideration works of various authors such as Jean Piaget, Carl Jung, Ubiratan D’Ambrosio, among others. |
