| Resumo: | This research aimed to understand dropout causes in the collective health program at the University of Brasília, Ceilândia campus. Data were collected by using a questionnaire applied to dropout and enrolled students from the program, reaching a sample of 147 respondents. Results were analyzed by multinomial logistic regression, identifying the causes that lead students to change programs or leave higher education. Dropout causes were associated with individual, family, and institutional issues, occurring differently in program and higher education dropouts. Results corroborate that program and system dropout are distinct phenomena that are influenced in different manners by the same or different variables. |
