Descripción
Sumario:The aim of this research is to analyse and understand, from the dual perspective of students and university libraries, the difficulties faced in adapting to the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The methodology used was based on two techniques, semi-structured interviews with university students and a survey with librarians. The interviews were carried out with five university students and allowed us to find out their perception of the changes in teaching, their skills in the use of information and communication technologies and in their interaction with the library, delving into the transformation from face-to-face to digital, the resources this has required and the difficulties it has posed. The survey was carried out by means of an online form sent to librarians of the five public universities of the Community of Madrid, with a response rate of 16.6%. Among the results obtained, it can be seen that the physical location of the library itself is irreplaceable for students, since there is no online option that can replace the role it plays for them as a place to study and meet.
