We have identified several different phases of the filmmaker’s career: Cinema Novo (1960);The Women Trilogy (1970), The Political Phase (1980-1990) and Brazilian Art in her current phase in an effort to demonstrate that Helena Solberg has a singular and coherent body of work in the context of Brazilian documentary production. |
