Resumo:In the Brazilian context of teaching, the linguistic-cultural diversity of the Spanish Language is usually treated superficially and anecdotally. Moreover, it is easy to notice the almost exclusive presence of some Spanish-speaking countries or regions while others have become somewhat invisible to most of the classrooms. Teacher Training in Brazil still does not usually offer theoretical-methodological support through curricular components that reflect on the linguistic variation of this language and its didactic applications. Thus, this article aims to discuss the benefits of an intercultural education, in which linguistic-cultural diversity in Spanish classes must be taken into account. As a basis for this paper, we do discuss the treatment of the cultural component and intercultural learning (BYRAM, 1989; SERRANI, 2005; KRAMSCH, 2017; PAIV; VIANA, 2017) applied to linguistic diversity. We also treat with some difficulties, prejudices and impediments to dealing with the linguistic-cultural diversity of Spanish in Brazil based on studies by Irala (2004), Moreno Fernández(2010), Zolin-Vesz (2013), Venâncio da Silva and Andión (2019), and Venâncio da Silva (2020). Finally, we have developed an intercultural proposal to explore linguistic variation through texts in both languages ​​that have built up tolerant attitudes towards the phenomenon of language variation, and that are attentive to the grammatical variants present in Brazilian Portuguese and Latin American varieties of Spanish.
