Descripción
Sumario:This paper presents outlines of a Dissertation that investigates discourse practices in science regions. Such practices, under the guise of imaginary solutions, allow thinking of an alleged science that deals with both grotesque imagination and humour, life and death, and symbolic truths. Such elements are intertwined with the ubuesque power, outlined by Michel Foucault in his work Abnormal (1974-1975). This study insinuates approaches with Alfred Jarry’s literature, especially with his creations Pa Ubu and ‘Pataphysics – the science of imaginary solutions. As methodological procedure, we opted for the notions of archive and archiving inspired by the investigative modes of Foucault and Aquino. Of this study we highlight that the descriptions around the anomalies mentioned throughout the lessons of Foucault’s mentioned work are compatible with an ubuesque imagination, as well as the ‘Pataphysics gains strength as a potent analytical tool to examine ubuesque imaginary solutions in discourse practices in science regions.
