Descrição
Resumo:The aim of this article is to describe an experience of teaching fighting in School Physical Education, involving the possibilities, the strategies and challenges present in the teaching and learning process of this modality. Qualitative and descriptive, this study is characterized as an experience report, which was based on the theory of teaching centered on the apprentice, founded on the principles of constructivism. An experiment carried out in 2018, in a municipal public school in the city of Blumenau (SC), with the participation of 313 students from the 6th, 7th and 8th grades of elementary school. The results showed the development of skills such as creativity, empathy and reflexivity, the expansion of awareness during the process and the recognition of the obligation to assume greater responsibility for learning itself stands out. It was concluded that it is possible to carry out a struggle as content, giving students an active role in the process of teaching and learning development.
