Descripción
Sumario:This paper will address the exhibition of the 7th Edition of the Pampulha Scholarship Program of the Pampulha Museum of Art (MAP). We will analyze the role of artists and curators in the elaboration of criteria for museality values. At first, we will present how an artistic residency can contribute for forming the museums’ collections; considering a process of dialogue between artists and curators, the model of serial organization of the MAP collection, an exclusive type, allows qualified listening of artists —who questioned, in these first two decades of the 21st century, the museum’s identity. In a second moment, we will describe the 2019 exhibition, amid the context of a sense of censorship. We will present the values identified in the works of the artists and their plural perspectives defending the presence of diversity both related to the history of building and the history of the city.
