Sumario:This course completion work certified the importance of the Pap smear, the relevance of an early diagnosis, the number of women who underwent it during the period from 2022 to September 2024, age group and its results in the city of Carmo do Paranaíba, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The data were taken from the local Health Department, authorized by the head nurse of the Basic Health Units. It was noted that the performance of the Pap smear showed variations over the years. In 2022, there was a considerable increase, followed by a decrease in 2023, while in 2024 the number of women taking the exam continues to grow. According to my investigation, the age range of the women who most underwent the exam varies between 30 and 59 years old. It is interesting to note that, of the 678 tests carried out, 617 showed changes, while only 61 were within normal limits. These data demonstrate that conditions such as candidiasis, inflammation and cervical cancer are more common than we imagine. Therefore, it is essential to monitor your health and perform a Pap smear every 1x a year, as this increases the likelihood of an early and effective diagnosis.
