The text initially makes an assessment of the systematization process of the Umbanda in Brazil and its installation in Portugal, analyzing the role of Portuguese women in the effort to divulge it in the country. In a third approach, the text explores ethographic descriptions aiming at demonstrating the manifestation of overlapping rituals and performance of Umbanda and Portuguese Catholicism in order to show the bricolage process found in the creation of an imaginary religious world.
