| Resumo: | This experience report was made from the experience of an academic in the extension project “Child-juvenile abuse: multiply to fight”. The aim of this study was to report the experience of training children and adolescents who multiply actions to prevent and fight child abuse, from the aforementioned project. As theoretical framework, the principles of popular health education and peer education were used. The project was carried out in a school in the municipal Education network of Nova Iguaçu, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The intended public were students enrolled in the school from the seventh to nineth grade of elementary education. Eight sessions were performed, with an average presence of fifteen young people in each one. Through the experience, it was possible to realize that actions of popular education in health and peer education are important instruments of transformation for children and adolescents with great potential to prevent and fight situations of child abuse. Participation in the project contributed to the expansion of theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in the undergraduate health, with a multidisciplinary approach focused on integral actions of education and health promotion. |
