| Summary: | Chapada do Apodi-RN is assisting the process of setting up agribusiness companies that are established in the region to produce fruit for export. In this context, rural communities historically established in the region begin a process of struggles to resist the impositions of the global technical model to which agribusiness represents. This dialectic has led farmers to elaborate mechanisms of action and resistance to the influences that verticalities imprint on the place, with mobilization, associative and the permanent debate between subjects, the main instruments of struggle. In this perspective, the conflict between verticalities, agribusiness, and horizontalities, the rural communities of Chapada do Apodi have promoted the horizontal union of workers who engage in the struggle for the defense of their lands and productive logic. This has promoted a political effervescence within the rural communities established there, since the so-called participation is essential within the process of resistance, which gives rise, therefore, to the perspective of the citizen as a political and participative being. |
