| Sumario: | In this article, constructed from practices and experiences in the Horizontal People’s Assembly of Belo Horizonte, I propose a key to the reading of its potential profanity as a lateral posibility - utopian - of the political reality of the city. Through the radicality of the ideas of direct popular construction and horizontality, the guiding axes of its actions, the assembly presented alternative realities to the political making, consecrated in modernity by ideals of representation and hierarchy. Through complex trails, the APH traced its way in the history of the city, sometimes approaching the established power, dialoguing with habermasian understandings, sometimes denying it completely, dialoguing with the agambenian understandings of politics, but always putting itself critically to reality, having recognized in itself its potential for emancipation. |
