The theoretical-methodological framework of the research was guided by a critical and dialectical approach, with theoretical support built by Gramsci (1982; 2006), and a bibliographic survey. The results showed that there was an implementation of the working day policy, but it occurred through different arrangements of the municipal systems to meet the appreciation of the teaching profession.O estudo objetiva mapear as produções nos bancos de dados de Teses e Dissertações da CAPES e da Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações sobre a jornada de trabalho na Educação Infantil, a partir da implementação da Lei nº 11.738/2008, e compreender como ocorreu esse processo nos sistemas municipais. O referencial teórico-metodológico da pesquisa foi guiado pela abordagem crítica e dialética, com apoio teórico construído por Gramsci (1982; 2006), e levantamento bibliográfico.
