Resumo:Objective: To analyze the correlation between physical activity and quality of life for participants in the Health Promotion Project "Run for Life" of Sao Roque do Canaã. Materials and Methods: The questionnaire WHOQOL-BREF was performed in a sample of 40 women, aged 25 to 85 years, the project participants for the Promotion of Health "Run for Life" by São Roque do Canaã/ES, chosen random. Data were tabulated using Microsoft Excel Software following the syntax proposed by the Group WHOQOL.Resultados: It can be observed that the study participants had good scores in all domains (physical, social, psychological and environmental). Discussion: In this study, factors such as age and education of the public questioned are related to the high quality of life. Notwithstanding the results of this study indicate that participants in the Health Promotion Project "Run for Life" showed good quality of life scores for all domains of WHOQOL-bref. Conclusion: The conclusion of the study confirms the positive association between physical activity and improved quality of life which strengthens the need to maintain, as much as possible of an active lifestyle throughout the process of human aging. The result of this study is a contribution to the operationalization of the Health Promotion Project "Run for life" of the São Roque do Canaã/ES.
