Sumario:Introduction and aim: The nutrition labelling of foods is important for the population because with it is easy to know the nutritional properties of each food, thereby contributing to an appropriate food consumption. In this order, the study proposed check the line of the amount of nutrients present in processed foods intended for children, focusing on the age group of 4 to 8 years of age, with the amount of nutrients recommended by the Dietary Reference Intakes. Materials and methods: Were collected data on the nutritional charts of 18 products, considering the average of three different brands for each item, as availability in a supermarket in the town of Pinhão-PR. Results: Presented products with high adequacy percentage in relation to the recommendations, and of eighteen foods evaluated, the instant noodles, the breaded chicken and the Burger stood out with greater amount of calorific value, of saturated fats, total fat and sodium. With respect to trans fats, food 14 claim not present significant amount in portion. Conclusion: Whereas the consumption of processed foods by children, it is important to perform actions to raise awareness among adults and children about the nutritional labels, to clarify the meanings of information and promote access to a higher quality power supply.
