The present study tried to comprehend, through an ethnographical approach, the world-view of the farmers regarding the feeling of belonging to a certain area, and also as regard to the social organization and knowledge of the agricultural residents, who grow food in the plantings of the family by the fact of descend from a common patriarch. This area is defined by its residents as “land of heritage”. The research, which was carried out between the years 2005 and 2013, focused on the process of value apprehension of these residents and their worldview, which are responsible for guiding them in their relationship with the land through the standards established by the very community. Thus were observed singularities in the way they use the natural resources based on the right of use and heritage of the land, as well as in the acquisition of movable and immovable property through the supportive social relations established according to the degree of relatedness.
