Resumo:Through an approach of the senses produced by Bolivian migrants around confrontations linked to disputes over land tenure and insecurity in the periphery of La Plata, Argentina, in this article we deepen the debates around the relationship between violence and the construction of social ties, and their implications for state-citizen relations. The hypothesis that we sustain is that in these cases the Bolivians act violently when and why they feel citizens. That is to say, his/her process of citizen subjectivation is connected with, and is also partly constituted through, violent practices.
