Descripción
Sumario:In the historical study of Argentine agrotechnical education, the analysis of the subsystem of agricultural education created by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Nation has been privileged. From the provincial states, agricultural education institutions were also organized, which, in some cases, preceded the national creations. This article carries out an institutional reconstruction of the first school of this type, created in the province of Entre Ríos in 1896 with the objective of preparing qualified personnel for the improvement of agricultural activities and disseminating the milky industry. The novelty of the school, the type of preparation offered to young people, the purpose of promoting the dairy industry and its extensive action require their particular study. With contributions from the social history of institutions and cultural history, a corpus of sources is analyzed, which includes: official publications, reports from the General Directorate of Education, education bulletins, departmental files and press articles.
