| Sumario: | Considering the importance of the role of the accounting professional for the social sphere, the study aims to investigate scientific production regarding the identification of the profile of accounting professionals in the period from 2012 to 2022. In this way, a bibliographical research was developed, being descriptive and characterized as mixed. In this vein, using a sample of 301 articles, a bibliometric analysis was carried out, with which it was possible to identify the scope of other topics, when researching the subject. Thus, verifying the characteristics and skills required in the new business context. To this end, when analyzing certain points of the sample and three documents in more detail, it was observed the great demand for technological knowledge and knowledge related to data analysis and verification for professionals, especially given the expansion of the digital era in business. |
