Sumario:Objective: In order to know the importance of a global strategy about healthy eating, physical activity and health, the present study has meant to investigate the antropormetric and alimentary profile of adults who are regular physical activities practitioner (categorized as athletes or not), that were attended at the School Clinic of Nutrition. Materials and methods: This is a retrospective study of 105 medical reports from the nutrition ambulatory of UNICENTRO. It took part of the research adults of both gender that practice physical activities, it was being analyzed the moment of the initial consultation and the consultation for revaluation. It was checked the nutritional assessment data, clinical anamnesis and practice of physical activities of the patients. It was made the comparison between both moments to compare the evolution of each individual. Results: The patient's corporal composition has evolved satisfactorily, the loss of body fat and the increase of lean mass resulted in the improvement of the nutritional status of the most individuals. The eating habits verified in the initial moment of the attendance demonstrated average values of energy intake and nutrients below the recommendations and the food plans prepared by the nutritional service. We concluded that nutritional monitoring allied with practicing physical activities has direct influence on the body composition change and the nutritional status of the patients, even when it doesn't has a significant weight reduction, it acts positively on the physical conditioning and in the adjustment of the body composition or improving health and quality of life of them.
