| Resumo: | The text offers contributions to those who wish to use the methodological theoretical framework of dialectical historical materialism for research in the area of education. It presents the indissociability of theory and method that characterizes the studies, analyses, and political action of Marx and Engels, which constitute praxis. It also brings excerpts from a master's thesis that had as a research problem the contradictions and possibilities for the construction of democratic management in school, from the work developed by pedagogical coordination in schools located in the Brazilian Amazon. The two parties dialogue with the perspective of demonstrating the feasibility and timeliness of the application of dialectical historical materialism in the understanding of the educational phenomenon. |
