Sumario:Objective: This research pursues to understand the strategies utilized by higher education institutions in Santa Catarina State in the systematization of information from international academic mobility in their institutions. Methodology: This is an applied and descriptive qualitative research, which uses documental and bibliographic research to help achieve the objectives. Data collection was carried out through 10 semi-structured interviews with representatives of public and community institutions of higher education in Santa Catarina. The analysis of the information acquired was performed using the content analysis technique. Results: The research results demonstrate fragility in the strategies of systematization of information from international academic mobility programs, and the need for a single and efficient system to record the varied information acquired in this process. We also emphasize the importance of systematizing information related to significant dimensions of knowledge to achieve the goals set by students and institutions with exchange programs. Conclusion: In this context, a theoretical model is proposed, represented by essential groups of academic, administrative, intercultural, and linguistic informational requirements for the continuous systematization of information by the management of higher education institutions active in the internationalization process and exchange students.
