| Sumario: | This investigation aimed to identify the main characteristics of a people manager directing the performance in this area. Scholars in the area of people management outline how a people manager profile is to understand the vision of company directors about their contributions to hiring a people manager by relating the profile of a people manager, according to the existing bibliographic collection, with the arguments of directors/managers of companies, on the topic addressed. The investigation was descriptive, quantitative, applying a questionnaire traced with some characteristics of professional profiles that people managers consider when hiring an employee. The survey data point to a population consisting of 100 professionals in the management area, responding through a questionnaire. In view of the feedback from the survey, it was evident that these managers consider the technical skill, at the time of hiring, these professionals must have, in addition to skill, knowledge and agility in the execution of activities. In controversies, the other characteristics pointed out in the bibliographic study. And what they exert least in the face of the research carried out (30%) was the conceptual ability, which refers to the ability of the organizational vision and mastery of working with ideas and concepts, theories, and abstractions. |
