It is a bibliographical research into texts from this author and scholars of the Frankfurt School. As a result, it is remarked that the signifi cance of religion is not reduced to itself, for it is not exhausted in the function of integration or social legitimation, but, on the contrary, as symbolic jumps that express a resistant and solidary justice. Therefore religious expressions that are not institutionally sovereign preach hope in a redemption able to awaken in the human being a form of nostalgia that brings him to profoundly long for the advent of harmony in reality.
