| Sumario: | In this article I will contemplate the invisibility of black scientific production promoted by white scholars. I will emphasize the pioneerism of Guerreiro Ramos to think about white racial identity in the world, I will deal the importance of Maria Aparecida da Silva Bento regarding the whiteness theme in Brazil. In addition, I will describe the role of the black movement as an informal school and the practice of white to protect themselves when they come into dispute with the black. Finally, I question the role of the white researcher who aims to seek his peace when social reality bothers him. In other words, the fact that the white investigator of whiteness finds himself in the place of oppressor and racial exploiter, can lead him to quickly present a solution to a problem. Or perhaps a slight outlet for your own discomfort. My analysis will also take into account self-reflection, my “informal” education, that is, the knowledge I acquired from my encounters with some characters from the black movement. |
