| Sumario: | Spanish is the official language of almost four hundred million speakers in twenty-one countries on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. The central variety of the Iberian Peninsula has always been considered a literate and exemplary model of the language. However, the plurality and fragmentation of this language have led to the establishment of different morphosyntactic uses in the different regions, uses that match the standard in each area. In such a panorama, authors of manuals it is difficult to decree what is right and what is not and, above all, to decide which diatopic variety bring to their classes. The present study analysis six ELE didactic works used in Italy. Its aim is to find out the treatment of differences of use, present throughout the Hispanic world, of the contrast between simple and compound past, to verify the presence of mentions of geographical varieties different from the central peninsular one and the consideration transmitted to the student of such varieties. |
