| Sumario: | This article presents the only corpus, until then, of cultured speech from Ceará: Projeto Portuu3s Oral Culto de Fortaleza, the PORCUFORT, headquartered at the State University of Ceará. This database was constituted under the theoretical-methodological assumptions of Variationist Sociolinguistics (LABOV, [1972] 2008; WEINREICH; LABOV; HERZOG, [1968] 2006) to serve as a data source for several linguistic studies and variety descriptions, both by institutions from Ceará and Brazil. The PORCUFORT Project is inserted in the context of Variationist Sociolinguistics in Brazil and has opened, since its creation, in the 1990s, space for the realization of several studies of linguistic description of the speakers strengthens taken as cults (people complete upper level). This text brings a historical and bibliographical research with the objective of offering the public, both the history of the constitution of PORCUFORT and its current stage, as well as all the research carried out so far, based on data from this database, which made possible, during its 24 years of existence, a publication of books, chapters of books and scientific articles, as well as an orientation of several studies, which, up to the present time, total 47 scientific works carried out in Brazilian territory. |
