Resumo:This article focuses on the Indigenous Games of Paraíba (JIP) and School Physical Education as its research object. The main idea of the study was based on the analysis of the Indigenous Games of Paraíba through multidisciplinarity, for School Physical Education, sport and culture. The research was carried out with teachers and school management at the Drº Jose Lopes Ribeiro State Indigenous Elementary and Secondary School in the municipality of Rio Tinto-PB. To this end, a qualitative and quantitative methodological approach of an exploratory nature was used, experienced in edition VIII of the JIP and during physical education classes in the 2018 school year. The production of information contained in the research crosses social, cultural and sporting issues. After analyzing the data, we revealed the importance that these indigenous games from Paraíba can and should contribute to school Physical Education for students in the aforementioned teaching unit.
