| Sumario: | The review presents the main aspects of the work "Irmãos: Uma História do PCC", by Gabriel Feltran. The author presents an explanatory model about the nature of the PCC organization and outlines a historical overview of the faction. His observation from the outskirts of São Paulo allowed him to identify the form of organization of the PCC and its influence on the operating logic of the neighborhoods where it operates. According to the author, the PCC consists of a secret society whose purpose is to unify actors in the world of crime to strengthen them and achieve success in the fight against the “system”, understood as the whole of the State, the police and the system. prison, diverging from usual interpretations that classify it as a commercial or military entity.
