Descripción
Sumario:This article presents an excerpt from a research in which it was investigated how Problem Based Learning (PBL) can be used to explore concepts relevant to the future professional performance of students. As a methodological procedure, a qualitative research was developed, collecting the data through semi-structured observation of the tutored meetings and interpretative analysis of some evaluations. Through a case study, possible advantages and disadvantages of the methodology were investigated with students from the 1st year of a Technical Course in Electronics Integrated to High School. The main results were the possibility of approaching several concepts in the areas of Physics, Chemistry, Safety at Work and Mathematics, in addition to working in groups. As disadvantages, it was obtained the feeling of not solving the problem by some students. It was concluded that the roles played by the tutors determined the triggering of advantages and disadvantages of PBL in relation to the students' learning, in addition, the breach of the didactic contract cannot be considered a disadvantage, as it can be used to promote new reflections and attitudes involved.
