| Sumario: | The objective of the present study is to analyze the cosmopolitist critique presented to the Law of Peoples envisaged by the American professor John Rawls. First, some questions of formal nature will be addressed. Following this, there is an exposition of the Justice as Fairness theory key concepts. The rawlsian project for international law, Law of the Poples, is then presented. Moreover, several scholars which defend a cosmopolitist stance that believes that even though it shares some similarities with A Theory of Justice, it doesnt holds the same standards for individuality and freedom protection as the former. |
