| Summary: | In this article we discuss the most important causes of the adrenal incidentalomas (IA) emphasizing the prevalence, etiologies and clinical, radiology and hormonal patterns which support the management of these lesions. We present the characteristics of the most common lesions and the diagnostic strategies with better accuracy. Based in the literature and the our experience we propose a standard diagnostic and treatment approach for the IA, avoiding expensive investigations and unnecessary or catastrophic surgical treatment. |
