| Summary: | Through a basic qualitative study, the objective was to examine how understanding one's own career anchors partook in the process of planning and developing the professional career of students and graduates of a Business Administration course at a federal public university. The results show that the identification of the anchors themselves contributed to the acquisition of self-knowledge about individual professional preferences, as well as the establishment of professional and personal objectives, and action plans. In addition, it allowed the acquisition of self-confidence in relation to professional choices, through the determination of individual parameters for professional decision-making. |
