Resumo:Career anchors represent our identity and what we truly value about our professional life. However, when a career transition happens, individuals not only change their career but also their identity. This article aims at verifying whether the career anchors of former servicepeople changed after their career transition to the labor market. Data collection was performed twice in just over a year. There were changes in the anchors due to the career transition, that is, the labor market contributed to the change in perceptions, skills, motivations, and opportunities for professional development.
