| Resumo: | In Information Science, the study of gender is structured in various ways, one of which involves identifying women in bibliographic productions. In the case of regional memory collections, the representation of women is essential to recognize gender roles in the history and development of the region. In this sense, the present article aims to identify and analyze the representation of women in Collections about Brasília, both in subject matter and authorship. To conduct the research, books and pamphlets from the Brasília Collection in three libraries were mapped, along with a survey of literature on the federal capital to locate titles dealing with women in the context of Brasília. As a result, it was found that the production on women in the federal capital is still a relatively unexplored topic, with low representation in both Brasília Collections and literature about Brasília. Women do not have as much production as men, but their production influences studies about women. It is concluded that due to historical and social reasons, the recognition of women in historiography is linked to silence, but libraries can incorporate products and services within their spaces that highlight women in the context of regional memory. |
