Descripción
Sumario:The increasing use of digital devices among children has raised concerns about their effects on behavior, development and well-being. This systematic review verified 14 studies published between 2019 and 2024 in the PubMed, SciELO, BVS, EBSCO and PePsic databases with the aim of analyzing parental mediation in the use of digital devices and the internet in children aged 6 to 12 years, investigating how the dynamics Family members and/or parenting style influence children's digital behavior. The findings indicate that parental styles with greater involvement, support and clear rules promote the balanced use of technologies, while authoritarian or negligent practices increase the risks of internet addiction, emotional and academic difficulties. The importance of balanced parental mediation strategies for healthy child development when using screens is highlighted. The findings reinforce the relevance of coordinated actions between family and educational contexts to promote digital education.
