| Summary: | The present research aimed to analyze the journalistic coverage of some traditional and alternative media vehicles about the #EleNão movement, a demonstration led by women against the candidacy of the then federal deputy Jair Bolsonaro for the presidency of the Republic of Brazil, September 29, 2018 The demonstration organized on social networks, especially on facebook, on the page Mulheres Unidas Contra Bolsonaro, took place in Brazilian capitals and in several other countries, with the support of various segments of society. The sources of this research were articles from several journalistic vehicles - Correio (from Bahia), Estado do Maranhão, Diário de Pernambuco, Folha de S. Paulo, O Globo, Agora São Paulo, Brasil de Fato, Jornalistas Livres, Mídia Ninja and Diálogos do Brasil. South. They were organized in an Excel database, thus allowing a quantitative analysis through Content Analysis (BARDIN, 1977) and qualitative analysis of the variables from a Critical Discourse Analysis approach (VAN DIJK, 2000; 2017a; 2017b) . The categories of analysis allowed us to perceive the predominant journalistic genres, the types of sources used, the focus, the evolution of coverage and other important aspects to understand the type of narrative built in the dissemination of this movement. It was noticed that the engagement took place in both media (traditional and alternative) through articles and opinion, on the other hand, the news, were the majority among the data, but little favored the adhesion to the movement or exposure of it as a landmark of resistance for the country. |
