Sumario:In this essay, taking as a locus of analysis the film “Everyone is talking about Jamie” and inspired by the authors of Post-Structuralism, Queer theory and Transfeminism, we propose to think about and problematize the place of normativities in the school experience and life of people who experience the condition of sexual and/or gender dissidence. Here the filmic image is understood as a cultural artifact, that is, as a socio-historical construct whose intelligibility produces not only meanings but also wants to impose models. In our fabric, the main character Jamie and his experiences inside the school, and beyond it, emerge as an index of contestation and resistance against normativities. We believe that the existence and Queer art materialized in the main character of the plot attest to a micropolitics of (re)existence that, despite all normative paraphernalia, establishes itself as an (Aesth)Et(H)Ics of radical Queer existence in the face of regimes of truths grounded in the compulsory heterosexuality and gender binarism.
