| Sumario: | The educational paradigm shift is a necessity for contemporary education. However, it must take place in a planned manner, involving teacher improvement, student familiarization with the new technologies and applications used and, especially, availability, for teachers and students, of the necessary technologies. In the Paraiba State Education Network, the educational paradigm shift occurred suddenly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, imposing on teachers and students the use of platforms and social networks to implement e-learning and thus fulfill the school year in 2020. Given this context, this study aims to describe the initial situation of the implementation of remote education in a state school in the city of João Pessoa and to analyze the modality of remote education after 120 days of its implementation. To achieve these objectives, we developed a qualitative descriptive research, with a hermeneutic approach in the evaluation of data and facts, having as a guiding concept that of heutagogy, as a necessity imposed on the academic community these days. As a data collection instrument, we used the questionnaire, which was applied through Google Forms to eleven professors located in the study site. The results obtained indicate positive and negative points after the implementation of remote education in this education network, where we highlight on the one hand the continuity and the guarantee of the fulfillment of the 2020 school year and, on the other hand, the dropout and low adhesion of students by there may be, in some cases, only a single device in the household. |
