Sumario:This paper addresses issues raised by the tensions and interrelationships between theory and practice from UNIRIO's curricular exhibitions, which they have been  teaching and learning laboratories in Museology. This paper also emphasizes on the different relational dimensions built with the publics in the exhibition narratives creation, in the case of such exhibitions. In view of contemporary debates, what challenges and possibilities are presented in the training of future professionals capable of listening, dialogue, and collective and horizontal constructions? Thus, in a first moment, a brief historical overview of the creation and ‘curricularization’ of exhibitions is presented, as well as a panorama of its contemporary procedural development. Next, the extension project " Diversity of voices, multiple knowledge: the engagement of communities inside and outside Unirio in the curricular exhibitions of the School of Museology" is also introduced, its motivations and some of its challenges and developments.
