Description
Summary:The article identifies the links between the psychosocial dimensions of poverty and the main conditional cash transfer programs (PTCR) in Latin America. The article is based on the concept that the phenomenon of poverty has a psychosocial dimension, the article seeks to identify the bridges between theorizing and measuring such dimensions and their incorporation in the production of public policies. From a systematic literature review, 103 articles and 11 programs were analyzed. The results point to a weakness in the design of programs, as even though some consider these dimensions to be present, there is no translation in terms of actions or intervention strategies. In other words, although there has been a reasonable advance in the field of theorizing and measuring poverty beyond its material and objective elements, there has been little appropriation of this discussion in the field of government action, in the design, implementation and evaluation of public policies.
