Amitai Touval parte de la necesidad de una mejor comprensión de la hospitalidad; en su libro recientemente publicado, [Un Estudio Antropológico de la Hospitalidad: Anfitrión y el Huésped] formado con dos capítulos, el autor nos expone con claridad su perspectiva argumental. El primer capítulo, titulado The Innkeeper, nos habla de sus experiencias en Alemania Oriental. El segundo capítulo, por el contrario, versa sobre la evolución de la hospitalidad en el mundo digital el cual se caracteriza por un gran nivel de despersonalización y alta tecnología. ABSTRACTIn an ever-changing world which characterizes by the decline of hospitality, the anthropological insight is essentially vital to envisage the future of Western civilization. Amitai Touval adventures to reach a much deeper and better understanding of hospitality; en his recently-published book, [An anthropological study of Hospitality: the innkeeper and the guest], which is formed by two chapters, he offers a more than interesting argument. The first chapter, which entitles The Inkeeper, speaks us of his experiences in Eastern Germany. Rather, the second one goes through the evolution of hospitality in the digital media as well as virtual world. In so far as technology monopolizes hospitality, the guest-host relations are more impersonal.
