Sumario:This article aims to demonstrate the contributions of the pedagogical use of reward to the motivation of students in basic education. Initially, we present a brief overview of motivation, its concepts, theories and relevance as an inducer of human action, and then analyze motivation specifically in education. The methodological procedures used for analysis are of a qualitative nature and the type of bibliographic research, in which an analysis of the characteristics and potential of rewards as a pedagogical strategy will be presented. The final considerations highlighted that the reward system, when used in a pedagogical way, contributes significantly to education motivation.
