The review points to a reduction in materials on this topic. The results demonstrated that coping with grief can worsen the clinical picture of Multiple Sclerosis and the repercussions of the disease. They can also result in significant functional losses, whether due to prolonged hospitalizations or symptoms such as fatigue.Este estudo tem como objetivo apresentar como a literatura aborda o processo de luto no contexto da Esclerose Múltipla por meio de uma revisão narrativa. Para essa pesquisa, foram consultadas as seguintes bases de dados: Periódicos Capes (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior), SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) e o Serviço da Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina dos Estados Unidos para acesso gratuito ao Medline (PubMed). A revisão aponta para uma redução de materiais sobre essa temática. Os resultados demonstraram que o enfrentamento do luto, pode agravar o quadro clínico da Esclerose Múltipla e, as repercussões da doença.
