Descrição
Resumo:The advent of interdisciplinary baccalaureates brought the need of more diverse applications for Biochemistry, in addition to Biological Sciences. The object of learning (OA) is useful for teaching and learning of concepts about water, supramolecular aggregates of dyes and surfactants, the binding affinity of molecules with charged interfaces and qualitative application of UV-visible spectroscopy. These concepts are approached by representations of a cuvette containing combinations of 3 different concentrations of methylene blue and anionic or cationic surfactants. In the virtual cuvettes are represented: molecular species present in the solution, their states of aggregation, the color and corresponding absorption spectra. The use of OA allows to manipulate the aggregation states and binding dictated by the interface charge and hydrophobicity virtually. A click on the representations opens explanatory text boxes. The concepts worked by OA are useful for different levels of education.
